Updated: 05-09-2022World to Build partners with Stripe to handle transactions securely and safely. Stripe is a secure payment processing company that ensures transaction safety between our customers and our company.
We send limited information about you to Stripe in order to process your payments securely through the service. The refund process works in the same way.
When a refund is requested, our team will process the request within 3 business days on our side. If approved, we will send a request to Stripe to process your refund. You will receive an email from Stripe whenever a refund is approved and the process is initiated.
CurrencyIf you made a payment on a card that converted your currency to USD, Stripes will automatically convert your currency back for you for a refund.
BankingStripe will submit refund requests to your bank or card issuer. You will see the refund as a credit approximately 5-10 business days later, depending upon your bank. Refunds cannot be canceled after they’re issued.
IMPORTANT: Some refunds—those issued shortly after the original charge—appear in the form of a reversal instead of a refund. In the case of a reversal, the original charge drops off your statement, and a separate credit isn’t issued.
DestinationsRefunds can only be sent back to the original payment method used in the transaction. It’s not possible to send a refund to a different destination (for example, another card or bank account).
Refunds to expired or canceled cards are handled by your card issuer and, in most cases, credited to your replacement card. If no replacement exists, the card issuer usually delivers the refund to you using an alternate method (for example, check or bank account deposit). In rare cases, a refund back to a card may fail.
IMPORTANT: If a refund to your card fails, it will take up to 30 days for us to receive a notification of the failed refund. When we receive notice of the refund failure, we will credit your World to Build account with account credit that may be used towards future purchases.
