Let's start simple. We collect personal information you disclose to us. You are not required to, nor do you have an obligation to provide your personal information to us when we request it from you. We may, however, restrict your access to certain features and services that may require such information. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. In some cases, we may use cookies to collect personal information, or that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.
What is a cookie, and what kinds of cookies are there? It's a pretty simple concept! Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or work more efficiently, as well to provide reporting information to them.
There are two types of cookies. Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, us) are called first party cookies. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called third party cookies. Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (such as advertising, interactive content, or analytics). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
We may use web beacons to collect to access or store information as well. Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors on a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (or sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Site. This allows us, for example, to monitor traffic patterns of users from one page within a website to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to this website from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website and to improve site performance. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly.
Our Use of Cookies
Cookies are necessary in order to provide access to features on our Service. When you visit our Service, cookies and other similar tracking technologies may automatically collect information about your device (such as OS, IP address, ID, etc.) and what software (type, version, etc.) you use to access our Site. We will not use cookies or other tracking technologies in any way except to: (i) collect information about your device (such as your operating system, IP address, device ID, etcetera); (ii) identify what software you are using to access our Service (such as your device type, version, etcetera); (iii) initiate moderation towards player behavior on our Service; (iv) store user Account information (such as your login credentials, settings associated with your Account, and other preferences); (v) gather performance information related to our Service; (vi) gather demographic information about our players; and (vii) perform similar functions.
Information Sharing
We may share you information under certain circumstances. In short, we only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.
We may process or share data based on the following legal basis:
More specifically, we may need to process your data or share your personal information in the following situations:
Data Retention Policy; Security
It is necessary for us to store certain Account data in order to achieve our legitimate business interests and for other reasons. However, the protection of your Account and personal data is extremely important to us. We take necessary steps to protect your data. Such steps include: (i) using secure socket layer technology (or SSL) to securely transport encrypted data you enter on payment forms; and/or (ii) encrypting your security information (such as logon credentials and other Account information). We cannot guarantee the complete security of data that we retain, as no transmission via online services or storage is one-hundred percent secure.
We may retain information as long as you are connected to the Service and are actively using the Service. However, we may retain your information until the end of time or the end of the Service. Some of the information we retain may include, but is not limited to: (i) information related to billing transactions, which is within our legitimate business interest to retain in order to resolve billing disputes or inquiries that may arise out of certain purchases; (ii) Account information, in order to provide players with the ability to access the Service, improve our Service, resolve support requests, inquiries or the like; (iii) user generated content, such as items, models, games, images, or the like, which may be necessary in order to keep track of the inventory or purchase history of a player or players; (vi) to comply with government agencies, legal obligations and/or requests; and (v) for security purposes related to our Services or network.
Children's Online Privacy
World to Build is committed to protecting the privacy of children online. For the safety of children that use our Service, we do not knowingly gather personal information from your child on our Site, nor is this Site directed to use personal information from children under the age of 13 without obtaining verifiable consent from a child's parents. In the event that a child under the age of 13 knowingly sends personal information to us, we will only use that information to respond directly to the child or the child's parent or guardian. We recognize that protecting a child's identity and online privacy is important. That responsibility rests on both us, and with a child's parent. Children under the age of 13 should not use the Service without permission from their parents. If a parent or guardian believes that their child has provided us with personally identifiable information, they should immediately contact us at help@worldtobuild.com so that we can give them the opportunity to review and delete such information.
